HIGH MAGNESIUM BLOOD TEST LEVEL. What does higher than normal magnesium test level mean?

Upper limit of magnesium test is 2.3 mg/dL (or 0.95 mmol/L).

Hypermagnesemia is an electrolyte disturbance wuth an abnormally elevated level of magnesium in the blood. It develops in people with kidney failure. It is usually concurrent with hypocalcemia and hyperkalemia.

Some of the symptoms are arrhythmia and asystole, weakness, nausea and vomiting, impaired breathing, decreased respirations, Hypotension and Hypercalcemia.
